I am going to start today's blog post with some pictures of one of my Student's Crochet Creations
First is this fantastic scarf - isn't it gorgeous?
Then she's made the adorable Tea Cosy
Which will really keep your tea warm as it's made of Aran Weight Yarn!
Today she came to see me, as she was a bit stumped as to how to join
Bamboo handles to this lovely bag that she's made for a friend.
I showed her how to DC around the handle, so we completed one together in class and she took the other one home to do, so more pictures later
Cardigan A Long is progressing
As you can see, the main body of the cardigan is now complete
And I made a start on one of the long sleeves today
I then decided to go the hairdressers this afternoon. Now I am not digressing here as next door to this particular hairdressers is a Wool Shop, so it would have been rude not to go inside and have a nosey around.
I ended up buying some Sock Wool - 100g of Wendy Happy Bamboo 4ply
So when I got home, I made a start on my first attempt at crocheting a sock from the toe upwards.
The pattern is written in US terms so I am having to translate it along the way
and this is how far I have got so far.
I am baby sitting for a friend tonight so I will continue to follow the pattern then.
Now for GAD 124
As you can see it's a plain Burgundy colour. I haven't made a plain granny for a while, so as I am so busy with crochet projects at the moment, it seemed like the perfect time to make one!
Now back to the bag
My pupil sent me an email of her finished bag
And look how neat that is!
Wonderful - I am so proud of her work.
Well done YOU (you know who you are!!)
I like the scarf with all its frilly edging. Maybe I will have to make more effort with crochet - my last rather long project put me off a bit.
ReplyDeletebiutiful blog I love you!!!
