Increasing & Decreasing
Raised stitches
Granny Triangles, Rectangles, Hexagons
Join as you Go
New stitches like popcorn, clusters & spikes (only a few as there are so many to mention)

Days 324 & 325 - Lots of Class News & More!

Don't you just love the colours in this wool stash

Brought in by the "sisters"

Who are working on changing colours in the round

In Sparrow UK on Wednesday morning, we revisited the basic stitches, working in rows & then progressed to working in rounds

Next week is Granny Squares!

On Wednesday Evening, because they had all successfully worked on their rounds

We made Granny Squares!

And didn't they all do well

Especially as I made them

Read the pattern for themselves

with a little help!

I then made them start over, with less help

So that they can go home

And practice without me

Look at all those lovely smiles!!

Thursday Mornings' class

This is Elaine who is proudly wearing her new cardigan

New because she crocheted the edge

And has transformed it totally!!

Carol brought in her blanket

Isn't this amazing!

And Sarah her Bobble Blanket

Which is FANTASTIC

And Margaret is persevering with her lace pattern

Phew!  It's been a busy workshop week.

Days 295 & 296 - Busy me!

I was so busy with 2 lots of 2 hour workshops yesterday that I didn't have time to either make my Square A Day or Blog for that matter.

So I am going to catch up with it all for you now

In yesterdays evening class we made Granny Square to Join As You Go

With great results

And we did Colour Changes too!

With lovely results

My morning workshop ladies, who had their final class today

Which was very sad

Above is how organised one lady is with all her swatches & patterns neatly placed in a folder - a good start to Crochet work

We did loads that morning

As you can see they brought in loads of their previous homework for them to try out joining methods & colour changes too!

They've bought my book & some of them have even signed up for my online course so that they can continue to practice until they can return for their "Next Step Workshop"

Here is a perfect example of Join as You Go

Well done to you all

Day 290 - More Granny Square Love!

Yes it's another Granny Square Workshop themed day today

But with a Join as you Go twist

And also colour changes too!
My students have done so well, to think that only a few weeks ago they couldn't crochet at all

And here's the love....

We practiced increasing and decreasing by making these lovely hearts, but we went one step further....

And trimmed them with "eyelash" yarn

And they look FAB

So in keeping with the "bling"  I used a glitter yarn for Square 290

In preparation for ......
