Valentines Day - Day 45 + Crochet Students are AMAZING!

Do you remember my Valentines Card from yesterday?
Well my husband loves it!
YAY

And today for Granny A Day 45

I made a little red heart and surrounded it in Granny Square love
The picture really doesn't do it any justice at all, however in the flesh it's FAB

Now for my amazing Crochet Student

She's only been crocheting for 3 weeks, but obviously practising really hard
As she's already started this "Ruffles" scarf in Alpaca Wool (100% from Peru! - her son bought it for her on his travels - how thoughtful is that!!)

Not only is she making scarf, but in true ADDICT's style she has more than one project on the go, so she's making a blanket too and here are some of her first squares alongside the pattern book

And finally in class today, to practise increasing and decreasing, she made a
Valentines Heart
for her husband which we attached to a card.

I hope he LOVES it.

Day #19 Granny A Day plus WIP update

Granny A Day 19 has a vibrant red heart and a blue - navy blue frame
It reminds me that I must make a Red, White & Blue one to celebrate the Queens Jubilee this year

Here are all 19 squares joined together using the Join as you Go method (see Free Tutorials)

Now for my WIP

This is the baby blanket so far.
I have other 2 rows of:
Pink, Green, Yellow & Blue to go and it should be big enough to edge it

Another WIP is my Valentines hearts
I have been working on them for about a month now - writing up a pattern that works and that's easy to follow.

The pattern is being tested by a Twitter Friend at the moment
& as soon as it's ready I will make it available to you all
if there is enough interest.

Here are some Fuchsia ones

And some small plain ones

Day #16 Granny A Day - Two Crochet Disasters

These are the Valentines Hearts that I crocheted last night

I made the in Fuchsia as I didn't have any Red, but I will get some Red tomorrow.

I made Medium & Large

And trimmed them with White or Lilac

They could be sewed together and filled with toy stuffing to make a little cushion!

Disaster No. 1
I was making Granny A Day #16

When I came to the end of the row (row 4)

But with only 2 granny shells left to crochet, would I have enough wool?

The answer was NO
I ran out

However after a bit of searching I found a new ball of the same colour
and I had to accept it's kind offer to come to the rescue!!

So Granny A Day #16 was complete

And here (as much as possible) are all 16 squares so far

Oh yes, the 2nd disaster today was that I realised that all my Right Hand Basic Tutorials had the Left Hand photo's on them - sorry folks!

It's all sorted now.

I also discovered how to change the HTML codes for the other pages, so now only the main page has the side bar gadgets going up and down the sides.  I hope that this makes the other pages, especially the tutorial pages, easier to read.
