More Rows completed.....

This one?

Well I have been crocheting like mad, and I am now adding rows and rows and rows!

I also thought that I would take a few pictures, but I didn't know if you'd like
...Or this one?

Best so I thought I would put them both on!

Remember the Granny Blanket?  Well that is hanging on the balcony to "stretch" it a little, and now that the wool shop has called me to say more stocks are now in, I can get back to making some more squares!

All I need to do now is wait for my lovely husband to take me down to the shop!
Too big for the camera

He did take me to the Garden Centre today, so that I could buy some seed pods (the larger type) for planting on my Tomatoes, which I will blog about later on http://www.alithefrog.blogspot.com/

  1. hello lovey, yes i have started crocheting! and it's all your fault! i used to crochet when i was a little girl and never kept anything - prolly didnt do much and had no idea how to start. since i've been reading your blog i was thinking i needed to start something practical and creative when i finished my studies. well i finished my NVQ with flying colours (10 A's out of 10!) last week, so on saturday i went out and bought a 'how to guide'. it's called "stitch 'n' bitch crochet - the happy hooker" lol had to buy the book just cos of the name ha haa! since then i have done 12 samples from single crochet, to jacquard, to circles and granny squares. i'm not confident to start any project yet - not like yours! and of course in a couple of weeks time i wont have ANY time to do anything but at least i have made a start. i have also found a couple of techniques i might be able to transfer to my jewellery making, so it's been quite a revelation! very excited about it all. about to go and do some 'blocking' big whoop lol

  2. Hi Mary,

Well done on your NVQ & I can see why you need another project to do now that you have climbed that mountain!! You have to keep going don't you?
I am honoured that I have inspired you to Crochet again. I found that book you mention on Amazon the other day, and was tempted to buy it but I will put it on my wish list!!
I have also seen a book on crochet jewellery in Waterstones using thin wire instead of wool - looked great!!
Good luck with it and hope you start a blog on your achievements
