Granny A Day 81 is partly due to the fact that one of my pupils bought me a lovely ball of lime green wool today!
It's a shame that the photo does not do the colour justice as it really is a lovely lovely vibrant shade.
So I now have a 9 x 9 square blanket so far (81 squares)
and
Here it is!
Now for my homework!
I have completed 5 squares of the 12 so far
Here is a close up
And if you look closely at the picture, you can just make out the motifs at the edge of the cardigan
Sorry it's not more visually clear, but as it's white on white it's very difficult to make out.
Anyway, that's how the finished cardigan is going to look
It's from the previously mentioned SIRDAR pattern book
Cotton Crochet 376
I should have thought to make mine more in a square than the way I am doing it, but it will all work out in the end. How large are you doing to make yours? If I stay where I am I will have 43 extra squares.

Hi Marsha, nice of you to pop by again. Loving your Grannys and hope your camera stays safe in England!
DeleteWoow, this white crochet jacket is to die for, I'm so impressed, I wish I could crochet so well. I'm still a novice and am happy to crochet cell phone covers till I've mastered various styles of crochet. I've just crocheted a yellow cell phone cover with pink roses on for my daughter's Tracfone LG800G, to protect the touch screen from scratches as it cost me $50. (I'm only paying $5.99/40 minutes for her on the Tracfone family value plan, unbeatable)
ReplyDeleteI'm starting on nook covers next as the book club girls want girly pink, flowery covers, which I think will look gorgeous.
Hi Annette and thanks for popping by my blog. All I can assure you is that practice makes perfect, so if you continue to make cell phone covers and book covers then I am sure you will progress to bigger items soon!
