GAD 222 (Thursday) & GAD 223 (Friday)

GAD 222 is a rather non descript Baby Lime Green & Royal Blue number which is a GAD but not a very exciting one.....

....now for some more exciting news!

My friend and neighbour who is in love with wood and wood turning and such like, made me this very gorgeously beautiful wool holder

You put your ball of wool on it and crochet away and the wool keeps on coming!  The clever thing is that the  holder weeble woobles so all eventualities of pulling at the wool just seems to "happen"
It' s the best thing since sliced bread!!
So if you want one let me know and I will get you a price.

Now for GAD 223

It's my Husband & I's  double anniversary today.

We met on the 10th August 1998
&
Married on the 10th August 2004

So today we are celebrating our 14th & 8th Anniversary's
Need I say more about the commemoration for GAD 223?
No
It speaks for itself I think

Granny A Day 221

Even though I had a tough day today with work and house duties
I put a little more effort into today's GAD with 3 colour changes of Beige, Yellow and that lovely deep bottle green that I really would never tire off

My GAD blanket is so big now that it's draped over my sofa

&
I even get up off my backside to add the next GAD when I get to row 4

As the blanket is too big to haul onto my lap
& makes me feel very hot if I do!

GAD 220 A Busy Day off!

The mobile Dog Groomer lady arrived at 8.30am

Then a friend came from London for a flying visit, so we took him to a local pub for a "ploughmans" lunch

Here is Scooby after his fur cut
Smart Doggy!

And I rescued a baby hedgehog that I found in the middle of my street - I picked him/ her up and put it under a bush of a grassy front garden in a house not far from mine
Phew!

So I had very little time left for GAD after all the other bits and bobs that were on my list of chores for my day off today

Hence the rather plain GAD 220

GAD 219

Granny A Day 219 is dedicated to all the daisies that I saw on my dog walk today

Well to be honest I am not too sure if they are all daisies as such, but all daisy looking flowers or even "weeds" I think, as some were growing in abundance in the corn field, but I feel that weeds can be as beautiful as a flower and don't deserve such a "stigmata" of a name

I am now going to concentrate on a few hours of work on the spiral granny baby blanket as "baby" is due in August!!

GAD 216, 217 & 218 oh and a 1st Prize!

Friday is GAD 216
Just a grab in the basket kind of colour combination which worked very compassionately together don't you think?

Ah now for the 1st prize bit!

Yes I won 1st in the local Village Show

For the "My Hobbies" section

of the Handicrafts

I am so chuffed + I won a £1 coin too!!
What can I spend it on I wonder?

GAD 217 for the same day denotes the grey skies and many showers that adorned my day

And after a very busy weekend and an even busier Sunday I have
GAD 218 made
in a soft blue framed with a baby yellow

That's all for now folks
Hope you have had a good weekend

Granny A Day 215

I made the first 3 rows of this GAD in a 1 hour class today

My pupil & I went on to make some "petals" that she had been wanting to make for some time now, so we did that after a few practices of "changing colour" which B soon picked up on.

I mentioned to her that I have a full tutorial on my blog so she's going to go home and practice before her next class next week.

If she brings along the same magazine next week we can make some flowers to go with the petals!
I am really looking forward to it.

Granny A Day 214

After an 8 hour shift, a visit to the neighbours on return of a dog walk, where she brought out a bottle of wine instead of the original offered coffee,
and a good catch up chat and dinner (not at the neighbours)
this is GAD for the 1st August 2102

Pinch, Punch, first day of the month!
