Weeks 40 & 41

Me and my little posse of hookers are going mad for Tunisian Crochet at the moment, so I decided to have a little taster of making a hat!

The most complicated bit was the top

But I made it YAY

However I decided to put my own stamp on it by adding lots of colour rows, not just a band of colour

And here it is!!

Sherborne: My class here is only had 2 lessons & this is what they made

Adorable Crochet pot covers

One of them even bought my book and made these socks too!

She also amazed me with these fab table mats, bordered with a colour change - another thing she learnt from my book as we haven't learnt this in class yet.

If you don't subscribe to my newsletter

You won't know

about my Christmas Decorations workshop

So click here http://eepurl.com/489Qz to find out more

It's official!  I am a "CROCHETER"

Don't you just love this "Prefects" style badge?

More pupil makes, this time from my lovely Improvers who took my sock workshop

They brought in their finished pairs to show me along with

Gerald

The Adorable Giraffe

That has a lovely smile

Another improver finished off this hat.  She had never crocheted "ribbing"before

An in class itself we made Crochet Button Flowers

I have been busy making Granny Squares for the Coach Trip to the London Kitting & Stitching show tomorrow & we are going to make a blanket with all made on the journey itself or pre made as I have done & donate it to a small local charity so that they can raise some money from raffling or auctioning it off.

And here is my wind mobile that I am making in physio

I chose to decorate it with a crochet hook & a ball of wool - I drew this free hand!  I am very pleased with it.

Last but not least is work from my two new beginners that started with me yesterday.

They certainly have the makings of great hookers!!

Tomorrow I am taking a coach load of 47 to the London Knitting & Stitching Show so there will be a special blog report shortly!!

Weeks 38 & 39 - Lets crochet sock it to them!!

Just look at the improvement here.  In BLUE we have practice at home (homework) and in PINK is the same homework revisited in class with "teacher" helping!

"H" was so thrilled with her "improved" swatch.

In another class

We "dabbled" in a bit of Tunisian Crochet

It really doesn't take long to get hooked

On this version of "Knit & Crochet" combined.

We all had fun & all the class went online to Amazon or EbaY to buy Tunisian hook sets

I didn't want to waste time travelling in a car, so I took my Crochet along!

My dogs having a run

And here they are helping to raise money for Greyhound Rescue

One of my pupils made this GREAT bathroom mat from cotton.
I love the popcorn star, don't you?

Sock Workshop was held on Saturday 20th

All was prepared & ready to go the night before

With lots of love Merino mix wool ready to use

These are my "workshop" pair

I put the sign on the gate

And socks were made!!

Lovely colours

Cosy Toes

A "Quick to Work" Pattern

Made it easy to make a crochet sock

And finally

SC brought in her finished Bavarian Crochet Blanket

Amazeballs!!

Weeks 35 to 37 Guilty as Charged!!

I know, I know I am guilty as charged for not updating my blog for ages

SORRY
I have been run off my feet, taking lessons / workshops, organising lessons / workshops, finalising the coach trip (which is now fully booked) designing for magazines & books
PLUS as you will see below, making the final blanket for my dog Perry

Here's the edging going on

Oh & I started to make another jumper for ME!!

I love working with this wool

Ah! here's Perry testing his new blanket out in the lounge

And this is ME at the Vintage Fair in Blandford

I had a lovely stall & took a "pop up" crochet workshop there

This blanket was made by Sarah, who not only owns Sparrow UK but hosts Crochet Workshops there, which I take for Beginners & Improvers.

One of the improvers have tried her hand at chevrons - I love it

And someone else is making good use of varigated yarn

& also lining these adorable bags too!

I recently took a button covering class

We used DMC Petra Yarn - Didn't they turn out well??

Back to the dogs blankets - this is Scrumpy all cosy and comfy under his blanket

However these blankets are for their night beds

Did I mention that I was getting a Tattoo done?

I love it - it's a work of art
